I'm a married mother of three small children (ages, 6, 5, and seven months). When people ask "how are things?" at the beginning of a short, casual chat, I realize how boring my short, casual answer sounds: "oh, the kids, work, it's all good!" But, if we had more time (and after making sure they truly cared), I'd tell them that I find each day pretty exciting. Three little kids make any day completely different - with their humor, their sweetness, their cleverness. But so, too, do all of the cool things I come across. A random facebook post from a friend about a new song they discovered could add a whole new dimension to my music collection. Or it could make clear not to trust that friend's questionable taste. Either way, my life has been affected.
So I started this blog to have a central location to make tangible all the things that take up space in my brain - for myself as well as for the excellent people in my life, present and future friends. Not because I feel that since it's MY brain, it MUST be important. But because I find it fun/interesting/thought-provoking and thought you might too.
